De Martino winery was started by the family in 1934 and they have been restlessly exploring Chile since then, with a portfolio that represents most of the wine valleys in Chile. The energetic third and fourth generation of the De Martino family run the show, hand in hand with their intrepid and long-serving winemaker Marcelo Retamal who has been a leader in a fresher style of wines in Chile using less oak, more concrete and native yeast.
Working on organic principles in the vineyard they own vineyards all over Chile and work closely with different producers to find the best quality for their large portfolio which ranges from Elqui and Limari down to Itata.
A visit to the winery is the best chance to get your hands on some of the more limited production wines. Some highlights include the Viejas Tinajas range from Itata with Cinsault and Muscat aged in old amphorea.
